Job Description Carter's, Inc. is the largest branded marketer in North America of apparel exclusively for babies and young children. These brands are sold in leading department stores, national chains, and specialty retailers domestically and internationally. Manager - Pricing Strategy & Analytics will partner with the retail team to develop data driven strategies and continuously improve the tools and systems used across the organization. Drive macro pricing and promotional strategy - 50% - Challenge the status quo and evolve pricing strategies - Drive alignment with senior leaders - Identify and evaluate key KVIs to measure business - Develop standardized data and insights to drive pricing decisions - Provide analysis of ad hoc strategic questions - Drive / coordinate promotional calendar meetings and content - Quantify impact of pricing actions Drive innovation in pricing and inventory analytics - 40% - Derive insights and support decision making with data and visualizations - Identify and oversee development of core data sets and infrastructure - Lead development of Tableau dashboards to surface and democratize data - Support development and rollout of an end to end pricing and promotion tool / system - Manage / oversee on-going development of inventory strategy tools - Work with business partners to understand new opportunities for scalable analytics - Create and prioritize development roadmap & execute agile development cycles Develop team - 10% - Set goals and evaluate team - Build team development roadmap and grow talent - Evaluate team resource needs - Analytics team (3 analysts) Experience and Skills - Extensive experience with retail pricing analytics including competitive benchmarking, business rules, price elasticity, forecasting and reporting - Working knowledge of various competitive pricing and promotional strategies in an omnichannel setting - Ability to identify and understand customer and competitor behaviors, emerging trends and programs necessary to maximize revenue and margin - Deep understanding of how financial performance is interlinked with omnichannel pricing and promotions - Accountable, self-motivated, hands-on, dynamic, and passionate leadership style that can productively impact both strategic and tactical financial outcomes - Experience developing and supporting scalable tools and dashboards (e.g. Tableau) - Strong management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
