SENIOR INVENTORY ANALYST

Job Description Carter's, Inc. is the largest branded marketer in North America of apparel exclusively for babies and young children. The Company also owns Skip Hop, a global lifestyle brand for families with young children. The Senior Inventory Analyst is responsible for managing, coaching, and developing a team of Analysts responsible for successfully optimizing inventory in ~750 stores to support sales, margin and inventory turn goals. Key responsibilities include: Ensuring the successful execution of inventory allocations for each item, multiple times/week Assist in the design & implementation of operational processes to increase automation, remove friction and optimize inventory allocations Manage and continually improve inventory optimization using advanced analytics and/or visualization tools to optimize for increased sales, reduced costs and a best-in-class customer experience Create, build, and maintain partnerships with all levels of the organizationIn partnership with the Buyer and Planner, determine how much inventory of each item to allocate to stores (weekly) based on assortment/planning strategies Influence seasonal buys by providing planners and buyers with feedback on launch strategy, flow timing, and total buy quantities. Experience and Skills 3+ years experience in inventory, retail or a related field The ability to prioritize effectively for yourself and your team while balancing feedback from multiple stakeholders Passion for hiring, building and developing top talent Proficient in developing strong relationships with all levels of the business Ability to lead courageously - not afraid to speak frankly, offer new ideas, take calculated risks, and support positive change Ability to synthesize and communicate results clearly and effectively Energetic self-starter Highly organized with a strong attention to detail Adept in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot tables, Vlookups, etc) Bachelors degree required Retail store experience and/or knowledge of distribution and replenishment systems a plus Remote option may be available Carters is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
