Current knowledge of fashion, music, cultural trends, online media and market research Proficient using Photo Shop or Illustrator to create new product designs and product lines Hand sketching and CAD sketching abilities Ensure that designs are production friendly and cost conscious Pragmatic problem-solver Research and choose fabrics, washes, trims for each item Manage the fit process and ensure that the design specifications are accurate Oversee prototype sample process, maintain deadlines and design calendar for each product line Present new product concepts and designs to the management team and sales teams Work as part of design team liaising across Men’s, Women’s and work with cross functional partners in product development, production , technical design and merchandising. Mentor and develop Assistant Designers Aware – You have an ear to the ground when it comes to lifestyle brands and what is new and trending.
