SENIOR DESIGNER - SLG’s / Handbags / Home & Beauty Tools

We are looking for a Senior Designer to join our Gina Concepts team who has a passion for small leather goods, handbags, and home and beauty tools. Categories include: Handbags, Wallets, Cosmetic bags, Beauty Tools, Tech accessories & Home goods. Managing the design team which includes designers and product developers Ensuring that the design department develops impactful and on-trend product lines that  are true to each respective brand’s story in accordance with maeket deadlines Research trends, analyse product market, study competitive design accessory brands that  are relevant to categories designed, and shop stores for inspiration and comparative  analysis Create and present product trend boards, cads, and color stories for each session across  all handbags, slg’s beauty and home lines Design and develop innovative products that are on brand, priced appropriately and that  meet margin requirements Sourcing and selecting sample materials and factory development styles Create development technical spec package with information necessary in order to  communicate design specific details necessary to hand off to factory Work directly with international manufacturers and offices to develop new products and  problem solve design issues, including daily communication via email as well as  communication via video calls Manage development of product, moving products from concept to technical design to  ensure customer set timelines Provide design direction as well as design along side a team of designers, prepare sample  requests, review, critique, test, and approve submitted samples while adhering to  product, color and material standards Present collections designed to customers and cross-functional teams throughout the  development process Set standard for color, materials, components, including style shape, functionality, and  print applications Adjust product styling or functionality as needed after receiving feedback from inhouse  product testing Attend sales meetings to meet with customers and assist in the sales and presentation  process Assure appropriate scale, price, and assortment of buys for company stock line. Understand and follow Gina’s employee policies and procedures.
