The Senior Sourcing Analytics Analyst is responsible for the identification and communication of analytics related to related to COGS optimization Partner with Product Development and Strategic Sourcing teams on Kohl’s highest-priority sourcing projects Work in cross-functional teams to extract, clean, and prepare data to present findings to stakeholders Leverage a suite of analytics tools such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, and others to conduct analysis on spend and pricing data to identify spend optimization and cost reduction opportunities (e.g. regression analysis, multi-scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, cost-benefit analysis) Independently identify key insights from analyses, cutting through large amounts of data to quickly identify trends and implications on sourcing strategy approach Translate analysis into insights, reporting on findings to senior leadership and using analyses to help sourcing team prepare for critical vendor negotiations and overall company decision making initiatives Analyses bid results from vendors and helping develop negotiation strategy based on internal and external sources of information Bachelor’s Degree in science, finance or other quantitative field (e.g.math, finance, statistics, engineering or similar degrees) 4+ years of analytics and insights experience, particularly Advanced skills in Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau and SQL or equivalent analytics programs Modeling experience Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to translate analysis into insights and build reports for leadership teams Experience presenting complex data analyses to mid-level management and above Master’s Degree or equivalent Experience with purchasing or supply chain management in the apparel / home goods industry Matlab and Minitab experience R/Python/Alteryx programming skills Retail knowledge
