SENIOR ART DIRECTOR

A strong knowledge of retail fashion, E-Commerce, web and mobile web production, digital and imagery pre- and post-production will allow the Senior Art Director to work with creative teams and internal/external stakeholders to find innovative, yet feasible solutions to various marketing initiatives. Partner with the Senior Director Creative Studio, to drive and iterate on the brand visual identity and photo direction for multi-channel 360 content campaigns that touch all areas of the customer journey Ideate, develop and oversee to execution across all seasonal touchpoints including, but not limited to: omni-channel marketing initiatives, E-commerce site experience, Retail and WS In-store POS collateral, Email, Direct-to-Consumer vehicles, Media, Regional Advertising and promotions while maintaining brand consistency Lead creative development and on-set art direction for seasonal on-figure and still life photoshoots from content planning to execution, including proposing talent and crew for all divisions including but not limited to Sportswear, Tommy Jeans, Kids and Underwear Oversee image and video post-production, inclusive of guideline development, communicating creative feedback to Studio Producers and external vendors for seasonal photoshoots Lead a team of designers responsible for developing and executing creative content that will be used across all mediums from print collateral, digital and video through the lifecycle of project – concept, development, refinement, execution Conceptualize and present creative campaign ideas to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders through mood boards and mockups Ability to regionalize Global creative direction, apply agency supplied branding guidelines and coach designers on adhering to such guidelines to meet business needs Represent and rationalize own and team’s work to gain leadership alignment on creative and strategy Oversee multiple creative projects at the same time, for self and team Serve as daily support in navigating and synthesizing creative feedback, adhering to timelines, balancing priorities and refining strategies Act as brand filter and quality control for all team’s work Evaluate creative team performance and guide improvements Integrate editorial content into marketing collateral and collaborate closely with copy team to communicate brand messaging Partner with Production at early stages of the creative process to ensure delivery of the most innovative creative while retaining a cost-effective approach Oversight of incorporating postal and regulatory guidelines into direct mail, email, and mobile vehicles Responsible for evolving creative strategies to improve effectiveness and/or reduce costs while continuing to elevate brand positioning Participate in new idea sessions and the possible development and execution of those ideas (i.e.: shopping experiences, new sites, marketing campaigns, etc.) ), Sketchapp and Figma Experience in photoshoot planning and pre-production, as well as imagery and video post-production for both laydown and on-figure assets Experience working cross-functionally with E-commerce, Merchandising and Media teams Effective management of multiple, concurrent projects against aggressive timelines without compromising accuracy or quality Understanding of HTML/CSS and common coding/programming practices UX/UI design background Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of direct marketing Solid understanding of both print and digital assets with ability to integrate them seamlessly Advanced working knowledge of direct mail marketing and postal requirements in the U.S. and Canada Experience working cross-functionally with Retail Marketing and Visual Merchandising teams Effective management of multiple, concurrent projects against aggressive timelines without compromising accuracy or quality Knowledge of maximizing design to achieve production efficiencies An understanding of customer priorities and ability to strive to exceed expectations Ability to take direction, concept and provide multiple design solutions with limited direction Strong knowledge of fashion photography history and trends Ability to think outside the box and awareness to digital trends Extremely detail oriented, well organized, strong problem-solving skills Team player with positive “can-do” attitude Confidence and ability to manage upwards and interact with various levels of senior management Ability to mentor and mange junior designers Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain strong professional partnerships Strong interest in and aptitude for producing creative and marketing solutions Positive attitude, teamwork-oriented, reliable, focused on deliverables Creative problem-solver Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment Keen attention to detail Strong vendor management and negotiation skills Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines and budgets.
