A global fashion brand is seeking a detailed-oriented Senior Accountant to join their Los Angeles finance department! Responsibilities will include: collaborating with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and other departments to compile financial information for month-end close, preparing journal entries, creating accounting schedules, and reconciling balance sheet accounts to the ledger. Additional tasks will include posting transactions to the general ledger, reviewing department expense reports and profit and loss statements, and assisting auditors in performing quarterly and annual audits. This role will also respond to Census Bureau requests, conduct risk analysis assessments, and help with compiling the annual budget. Candidates should have: 6+ years of accounting experience Knowledge of monthly general ledger close, general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and accrual entries Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, economics, or finance Corporate/retail experience Experience in cost accounting a plus (preparing monthly fabric reserve analysis, handling pre-production variance reporting, physical inventory review for finished goods and raw materials, reviewing/auditing standard cost vs. source order variance, etc.)
