SEC REPORTING ANALYST

The SEC Reporting Analyst will report to the SEC Financial Reporting Manager and assist with the preparation of the Company’s SEC filings, research and documentation of technical accounting issues, assist in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and assist with month-end close procedures. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting and knowledge of fundamental accounting principles along with excellent communication and analytical skills. Responsibilities Assist in preparation of and draft sections of the 10-K and 10-Q, including financial statements, financial statement footnotes and MD&A using disclosure checklists to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations Collaborate with other functional groups and obtain the necessary information to draft the appropriate descriptions and wording for footnotes and other disclosures in the 10-K and 10-Qs Assist in coordination with the company’s external auditors Perform analyses and research of accounting literature to determine treatment of complex accounting transactions and facilitate implementation of new accounting pronouncements issued by FASB Assist in month-end close process by preparing complex journal entries and reconciling certain accounts, Administer the SharePoint platform for the Finance area and assist users of that platform Assist the SEC Financial Reporting Manager in interfacing with others, including senior management, external auditors and consultants regarding accounting and financial reporting issues to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience, preference for public accounting experience Understanding of financial reporting and US GAAP Ability to work independently and within a team while making well-reasoned and timely decisions Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills Strong familiarity with accounting research tools Basic familiarity with EBS/Oracle, Hyperion and SharePoint Ability to work in high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure, changing priorities and tight timelines/deadlines High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Strong written and oral communication skills Internally motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas and develop new skills High level of integrity, good work ethic, willingness to learn and a positive attitude Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
