260 Sample Sale is a New York based family owned & operated business running weekly sample sale events in NYC, LA, Miami, Online, Chicago and our newest market Dallas! We are now looking forward to taking over Washington DC for 3 months! Our private & public events include top brands in apparel, accessories and beauty, including: Marc Jacobs, Balmain, Oscar de la Renta, Reformation, NEST Fragrances, & more!

Your Role:

Each week 260 Sample Sale will be hosting different brands. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment & looks forward to new challenges each week.

You are expected to maintain a well-stocked, well-staffed store, to provide customers with the best possible shopping experience. Here at 260 Sample Sale we encourage you to develop your team and utilize their expertise when managing one of our locations. We are looking for candidates who love fashion and customer service.

Expectations:

Hire, develop, and train store managers and store manager candidates.
Creates a talent bench strength by actively recruiting and interviewing candidates
Recruits, interviews, selects, on boards and retains top talent
Acknowledges and reinforces the importance of how all roles contribute to the success of the store
Manages daily operational tasks according to 260’s standards including selling and service expectations, operations, payroll, human resources and loss prevention
Demonstrates strong business acumen; strategically forecasts, plans and budgets to the needs of the business (i.e. payrolls, staffing, etc.)
Creates schedules to maximize business by scheduling right people, right place, right time
Interacts and communicates with supervisor(s) on a regular basis to keep them informed
Maintains interior and exterior upkeep of the building with partnership from the corporate office
Evaluates performance of all team members and provides consistent and timely feedback; creates and modifies action plans for the continuous development of staff
Resolves performance problems using appropriate communication, coaching and counseling techniques
Leads by example
Demonstrates confidence when leading the team and managing the store
Takes initiative; has a high level of ownership and accountability for results of self and others
Approaches challenges in direct and timely manner and takes action to course correct in the moment when appropriate
Builds trusting relationships with peers and team
Acts as advocate for the team and Brand
Manages sales strategies, initiatives and growth across all categories
Flexes store business strategies and personal selling techniques to contribute to overall store and financial results
Maximizes floor supervisor role to deliver strong metrics and results driven through team selling and selling to multiple customers
Sales/productivity goals: sets and communicates goals for the team, tracks store’s performance at all times and achieves sales through team
Productivity Management: holds the management team accountable for floor supervisor productivity, personal productivity and management contribution
Takes ownership and commitment for delivering results; actively aware of personal and store metrics and achieves goals
Drives business through sales strategies, clienteling, sourcing new customers and maintaining on-going productive relationships with customers
Acts as a brand ambassador in the local market/mall to drive brand loyalty and
Coaches, develops and motivates the team on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to meet goals and utilizing
Understands and uses all retail systems and reporting tools
Adheres to all retail policies and procedures including POS and Operations procedures
Lead by example and assist team members in maintaining the sales floor throughout the day.
Secures merchandise by being in constant communication with the security team.
Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.

Qualifications:

· The ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· Flexibility and availability to work weekends including holidays

· Team player / great team spirit

· High School Diploma Required

· At least 5+ years of retail management experience

· Ability to develop a budget and review financial statements

· Ability to stand 8-10 hours in one shift

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25-$26/ hour

After the first 3 months of employment alongside averaging full-time hours, you may be eligible to join our Health insurance benefits.

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
