We are a young, fast growing couture fashion brand seeking a seamstress/tailor \- part time or piecework/contract work. We create couture fashion for runway and ready-to-wear from antique materials such as antique quilts, bed linens, grain sacks...etc. Los Angeles or San Diego Qualifications: \\- Be comfortable working with a variety of materials and patterns \\- Have extensive experience with industrial sewing machines (especially single needle) \\- Have access to their own industrial sewing machine (single needle) \\- Have extensive experience of garment construction, pattern drafting, hand sewing \\- Be a good communicator and be able to communicate in English \\- Be able to follow instruction with care - (each material is antique, rare, irreplaceable, and must be handled with extreme attention to detail) \\- Be extremely detail oriented - (every stitch matters) \\- Be willing to work closely with designer Multiple positions are available - paid hourly or by contracted piecework.
