Position: Sales Representative Position level: reports to sales manager Company: Mid-Valley Publications Location: Winton, California Job Description: Be a part of your local community Join the Mid Valley Publications team as an Advertising Sales Representative We are searching for candidates with great interpersonal skills for newspaper print and online sales for our popular local editions in the Merced, Atwater, and Hilmar areas of Merced County, as well as the Hughson, Waterford, and Denair areas of Stanislaus County. Responsibilities: *Present, Promote and sell products/services to existing and new costumers *Perform pricing and needs analysis of existing and new costumers to meet their needs *Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships *Resolve customer problems and complaints to satisfaction *Achieve agreed upon sales target *Coordinate sales effort with sales team *Must be able to make and meet scheduled meetings with customers *Must turn in advertisement run sheet at date specified and coordinate with layout department for specific ad details Requirements: *1 year sales experience preferably in the news paper industry *Excellent negotiating and communication skills *A form of transportation *Ability to create and deliver presentation to customers Working Conditions: You will be both indoors and outdoors on the road. Calling and Answering phone calls from customers and Communicating with the sales team and manager Salary: $1,000 a month plus commission on what is sold.
