This position will also utilize their organizational skills to work independently to accomplish design departmental goals as well as working one on one with their Design Manager.Major Responsibilities:Ownership over brands from development to productionLead meetings and work one on one with directors and senior leadsSketchingTech-packingLead fittings, update tech pack construction and BOMsComment on 1st protosWork cross functionally with product development on costing optionsWork in our product console – naming, creating and updating styles etc.Communicate with our vendorsShop the market for inspiration as well as in depth online researchBuild/Tech Packs/construction Detail Pages/maintain BOMsPartner with tech designers to align design vision and complete fitting independentlyCultivate and train assistants which includes refining their design development processComplete ad hoc assignments as assigned by managementCreate detailed technical flats and line guides; this includes intricate CAD work, detailed construction details for review with Lead Designer.
