Retail Store Manager & Assistant Store Manager — Nashville, TN

Ball and Buck is opening in Nashville, and we're building the leadership team that will run it. We're hiring at two levels — a Store Manager (our "Chief Outfitter") and an Assistant Store Manager (our "Lead Outfitter) — and we want to hear from strong retail leaders at both. We're a heritage American brand grounded in craftsmanship, the outdoors, and gear made to last. Tell us where you fit, and let's build something from day one.

What you'll do (both roles)

Share the Ball and Buck story and guide guests to the right clothing and gear for their adventures
Build genuine relationships with guests that keep them coming back
Lead, coach, and develop the store team
Own merchandising and keep the floor sharp through every shift
Plan and host in-store events that connect the brand to the Nashville community
Partner with the home office on inventory and ordering
Drive sales while protecting the integrity of the Ball and Buck experience

As Store Manager / "Chief Outfitter," you'll also:

Own the complete store operation — P&L, team performance, and the full customer experience
Make decisive calls on inventory, merchandising, and operations without waiting for approval
Collaborate with the founder and home office on strategic decisions and product feedback
Identify problems, find root causes, and implement solutions that improve the business
Carry the grit to make tough calls, speak candidly, and own outcomes

As Assistant Store Manager / "Lead Outfitter", you'll also:

Be the Store Manager's right hand — leading the floor and the team alongside them
Build and manage the team schedule
Open, close, and run the store in the Store Manager's absence

What you bring

A real passion for the outdoors and American-made goods
A track record of building and developing strong teams
Comfort with the operational side — scheduling, inventory, and merchandising
For the Store Manager role: 4+ years in retail with management experience and P&L ownership
For the Assistant Store Manager role: 2+ years in retail with leadership or keyholder experience

The details

Full-time positions
On-target compensation, depending on experience:
Assistant Store Manager — up to $70,000
Store Manager / "Chief Outfitter" — up to $100,000
