Description: As a Retail Store Lead, you are a key member of the leadership team, responsible for the daily operations and success of the store. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers while supporting the store management team. Ross Stores, Inc. is the largest off-price apparel and home fashion retailer in the United States. Responsibilities: • Ensure all customers receive a positive and welcoming shopping experience • Greet customers with eye contact, a smile, and a friendly attitude • Treat all fellow associates with respect and professionalism • Uphold all company standards and best practices across all store areas • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times • Oversee merchandise presentation and ensure it meets company guidelines • Actively promote a safety-first culture and immediately report any unsafe conditions • Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor to prevent loss and ensure security • Assist customers with merchandise inquiries and provide knowledgeable support • Handle customer service calls and resolve issues promptly and courteously, escalating to senior leadership when necessary • Support the company brand by maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to the dress code • Execute daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces • Ensure store readiness by performing daily sizing and recovery tasks • Expedite the processing and merchandising of new inventory with a sense of urgency • Help train and guide associates on loss prevention procedures and merchandise protection standards • Safeguard confidential information, cash, and credit card data • Follow all policies related to cash handling, returns, and inventory management • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and productivity in all tasks to maximize efficiency • Effectively communicate with the team and ensure accountability for tasks and goals • Help in building talent within the team through positive reinforcement and guidance
