Retail Store Associate

Job Summary

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and guiding them through their shopping experience
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments accurately
Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking to ensure products are organized and accessible
Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and managing product replenishment
Use effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone
Support sales goals through proactive upselling techniques and suggestive selling based on customer needs
Ensure that the store is clean, well-organized, and properly merchandised at all times.
Performs additional duties as assigned

Requirements

Prior experience in retail sales environments is preferred but not required; a strong desire to learn is essential
Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math for transactions and inventory counts
Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases
Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays
Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for supporting team efforts
Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, stocking shelves, and moving merchandise as needed
Strong customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette approach
Knowledge or familiarity with retail sales environments is beneficial
Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
Must be at least 18 years old*

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
