Role Description The Retail Salesperson is a part-time, on-site role based at August Baton Rouge Boutique in Baton Rouge, LA. This role is responsible for greeting customers, offering assistance, and creating a positive, engaging shopping experience. Day-to-day tasks include learning and sharing product features, helping customers select items, processing sales transactions, handling returns or exchanges in line with store policies, and keeping the sales floor clean, organized, and well-stocked. The Retail Salesperson will also support merchandising efforts, such as arranging displays and replenishing inventory, while following visual guidelines. This role works closely with the store team to meet sales goals, uphold customer service standards, and maintain a professional, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Retail Sales and Sales skills, including the ability to meet sales targets and use point-of-sale systems.Candidates should possess solid Customer Service and Communication skills to engage with diverse customers and resolve issues effectively.Candidates should possess developing Product Knowledge skills and a willingness to learn about new styles, brands, and inventory.Previous experience in retail, fashion, or boutique environments is beneficial.Ability to stand for extended periods, manage multiple tasks, and work flexible hours, including some Saturdays.Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in an inclusive setting.
