Retail Sales Associate - Evenings & Weekends

We're looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Associate to join our team at Once Upon A Child.

As a Retail Associate, you play a important role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the resale of pre-loved items. Your passion for sustainability, fashion, and community engagement will help us achieve our mission of promoting eco-conscious shopping.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products, answer questions and resolve any issues in a professional and timely manner.
Sales and Cashiering: Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately by processing transactions and cash handling. Suggest additional items or promotions to enhance the customer shopping experience.
Merchandising and Inventory: Organize and replenish merchandise on sales floors and displays. Sort, tag, hang, and price incoming inventory according to store guidelines.
Store Maintenance: Ensure the store is clean, organized, and safe for customers and staff. Assist with daily opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking supplies.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to achieve sales goals and ensure a positive work environment. Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on products and company policies.

Qualifications:

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move up to 40 pounds.
Must be organized, have strong attention to detail, and be able to multitask.
Must be dependable and punctual.
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to pass a background check.
