Retail Sales Associate and Cashier

Cotton Garden is a Woman's Clothing Retail Boutique in The Old Port, selling Habitat Clothing, Escape, Cut Loose & Fresh Produce Clothing, as well as many other great lines plus accessories and jewelry. All are comfortable, colorful, yet smart & affordable.

The job is for a part-time sales person who is comfortable assisting our customers to purchase clothing & putting together outfits with a learned knowledge of our stock. The other common retail tasks, such as cash register, end of day cashing out & tidying are expected but training will be given. Ability to work mostly standing is needed. 2-3 shifts each week. Help with lifting/moving/shoving boxes, not usually heavier than 30 lbs, is sometimes needed. Hours are mostly early pm to either closing at 6pm now or 7 pm in the summer with later closing times. There may be opportunity to work a full day either Sat/Sun/Mon or another of mutual agreement. The store is open 7 days each week. The applicant could be at college or with a second job or a fit semi-retiree. J1 visa summer students may apply for their second job here.
