Retail Assistant Store Manager

General Purpose of Position: As part of the management team, the Sales Assistant Manager works directly with the Store Manager to ensure the responsibilities of day-to-day management and sales goals of the retail store are being met. The Assistant Manager is responsible for opening and closing the store when the Store Manager is not present. An Assistant Manager is a leader and must have the ability to make informative decisions, solve problems in a critical and diligent manner, and effectively manage the store when the Store Manager is not present. · Assists with scheduling sales staff to maximize profitability. · Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
