Retail Assistant Manager

The Retail Assistant Manager supports store operations and leads a team of fewer than 10 employees to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales goals. Reporting to the Store Manager, this role holds moderate autonomy in staffing and scheduling decisions and full operational authority in the manager's absence. The position involves occasional travel between store locations and offers growth opportunities toward becoming a Store Manager.

Responsibilities

Manage and motivate a small retail team to meet performance targetsDeliver outstanding customer service to enhance the shopping experienceControl inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishmentAnalyze sales data to identify trends and improve performanceTrain staff on procedures, customer engagement, and sales techniquesImplement visual merchandising standards to maximize product appealHandle cash transactions and maintain accuracy in cash managementDevelop and manage employee schedules for optimal coverageResolve conflicts promptly to maintain a positive work environmentOversee daily store operations ensuring efficiency and compliance

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of retail management experienceHigh school diploma or equivalentKnowledge of Retail Management and Customer Relationship ManagementFamiliarity with Point of Sale (POS) Systems and Inventory ManagementExperience with sales reporting and team leadershipStrong communication and problem-solving skills
