Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Retail Assistant Manager to lead our team and ensure smooth daily operations. In this dynamic role, you will oversee sales activities, manage staff, and maintain excellent customer service standards. Your leadership will drive store success through effective management, merchandising, and team development.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
Lead and motivate team members to achieve sales goals and deliver outstanding customer service
Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales potential
Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, and payroll processing with accuracy and integrity
Recruit, interview, train, and develop staff to foster a high-performing team
Implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones
Ensure compliance with store policies, safety standards, and organizational procedures

Requirements

Proven experience in retail management or assistant management roles with supervising responsibilities
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities are a plus
Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS technology, and retail math
Demonstrated ability in negotiation, customer service excellence, and problem-solving
Experience with employee orientation, training & development, and scheduling
Knowledge of merchandising, purchasing, pricing strategies, and store management practices
Organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping, payroll, and administrative tasks
Ability to handle cash handling duties accurately while maintaining professionalism at all times
