Retail Assistant Manager

Duties Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing proceduresSupervise and motivate staff to ensure high levels of customer service and sales performanceOversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize product presentationHandle POS transactions, cash handling, and cashiering duties accurately and efficientlyImplement pricing strategies and promotional activities aligned with marketing plansRecruit, interview, and onboard new employees; conduct employee orientation and training sessionsManage payroll processing, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks related to store operationsMonitor sales performance metrics; develop strategies to meet or exceed sales targetsEnsure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and health regulationsCoordinate purchasing decisions and manage supplier relationships for inventory procurementLead team management initiatives including shift management, scheduling, and performance evaluationsEngage in marketing efforts to promote store offerings and community engagement initiativesSkills Strong leadership with supervisory experience in retail or similar environmentsExcellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plusProficiency in inventory management systems, POS software, and retail math calculationsDemonstrated experience in employee recruitment, training & development, and team managementEffective organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced settingSound knowledge of cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and budgetingCustomer service-oriented mindset with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skillsAbility to analyze retail data for merchandising decisions; experience with retail marketing is advantageousStrong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficientlyOrganizational skills necessary for stock stocking, inventory control, and store merchandisingThis position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about retail management and eager to contribute to a thriving store environment.
