Role Description The Resale Buyer/Customer Experience Specialist is a part-time, on-site role based in Seattle, WA. This role is responsible for evaluating and purchasing gently used children’s and maternity items from sellers, following store guidelines and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include greeting and assisting customers, answering questions about inventory and resale processes, and maintaining an organized and inviting sales floor. The specialist processes incoming merchandise, prices and tags items, restocks displays, and helps ensure accurate and efficient point-of-sale transactions. The role also involves communicating store policies clearly, resolving basic customer concerns, and contributing to a friendly, inclusive atmosphere for families and caregivers.

Qualifications

Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage warmly with families and caregivers.Attention to detail and sound judgment for assessing item condition, quality, and resale suitability.Basic retail skills, including handling cash and electronic payments, using a POS system, and maintaining visual merchandising standards.Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple buying appointments, customer interactions, and inventory tasks efficiently.Ability to stand, move, and lift moderately weighted items during shifts, and to work safely in a busy store environment.Interest in children’s products, resale culture, and sustainability; prior retail or resale experience is helpful but not required.Reliability in attending scheduled shifts, willingness to learn store guidelines, and commitment to fostering a respectful, inclusive workplace.
