REAL ESTATE DIRECTOR

The Real Estate Director’s primary role will be to negotiate lease actions across our fleet. Further responsibilities include lease and co-tenancy analysis. The Director will work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal and Store Operations both prior to and after negotiations. This individual should have current experience in retail real estate, specifically in the mall space. Responsibilities: Key Accountabilities: Negotiate lease renewals, remodels, relocations, rent reductions, and various on-going lease issues for corporate locations Work with Lease Administration to identify Co-Tenancy Violations in stores Conduct analysis and create presentation of proposed transactions to senior management Partner with our maintenance team in identifying stores that need capital investment Complete special project assignments affecting the company’s real estate portfolio and department processes and procedures Participate in ICSC events Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree 8-10 years real estate experience 5+ Years in retail real estate with a focus on malls and/or outlets Skills and Behaviors: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization Effective presentation skills in presenting and content Proficient in Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail Ability to work towards multiple deadlines with shifting priorities Basic retail finance understanding Must be a team player and able to work independently Must be able to travel as needed
