QUALITY SPECIALIST - Leading Beauty Company

The Quality Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the Orangeburg site Quality Management System (QMS). The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to: Manage and maintain compliance of the QMS Monitor operations activities related to the Over the Counter (OTC) products and ensure they are compliant to cGMP and FDA requirements Draft, interpret, and implement quality assurance standards and procedures for the organization (SOPs) Evaluate new and existing regulations to ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) remain current Serve as the main quality point of contact for the Orangeburg site including coordinate quality interactions with Clarins corporate and/or external supplier quality functions Create and maintain warehouse Training Program Ensure all operation activities are carried out as per effective SOPs Ensure cGMP training and the SOP training is provided to warehouse personnel as per effective Training Program Establish product disposition of OTC products and release products to the United States market Coordinate quality investigations/audits Review quality complaints and lead investigations including corrective action and preventive action Participate in and/or support inspections by regulatory bodies (e.g. FDA) Participate in different projects which support operations activities and process optimization Provide necessary quality support to the DC team Bachelor’s Degree required (Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline) At least 5+ years prior experience in quality function (prefer in highly regulated Lifesciences industry – Pharmaceutical, Medical Device or OTC) Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, but not required Experience in auditing, assembling and launching a QMS and/or documentation system is a plus Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Strong time management and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required with strong Microsoft Excel Skills Experience partnering with large teams (prefer in warehouse or manufacturing setting) Please submit a resume for consideration!
