Project Manager, Store Design and Development

Project Management • Develop, oversee and manage the project calendar and budget/expenses to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget • Partner with the Construction team to deliver DD and CD sets on a timely basis and to work with the architect to obtain all necessary permits • Partner with Construction team on the build out and execution of design during the construction phase • Site visits as necessary • Weekly project reviews/conference calls • Address and resolve site challenges/issues timely and cost effectively • Review and assess Change Orders • Manage within project budget • Assist in negotiation and obtaining approvals from Developers/Landlords • Review and edit Work Letters, Exhibit Cs and any other related documents/reviews • Perform other duties as needed to help support the overall business • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites, highly efficient in AutoCAD and 3D rendering programs (i.e. SketchUp) and hand-sketching • Ability to execute multiple designs under tight deadlines, meet deadlines and work independently • Must be organized, have excellent oral/written communication, presentation skills and a high standard for details of design issues • Competency in developing partnerships, collaborating and managing outward needs, & expectations • Solid budget management experience • Familiarity with regards to construction documents and current working knowledge of building & health codes and compliance issues • Ability to manage outside architectural, MEP and other design consultants • Ability to manage design team, provide direction, education and insight to design development • Current knowledge of industry trends in retail store and restaurant design • Demonstrated 3D visualization ability and working knowledge of color and design principles • Ability to balance design, with operational needs and budget objectives resulting in exceptional store environments • Ability to translate stated design principles / objectives into unique and varied store locations • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to approximately 50 lbs.
