We are working with a 90 - year leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of Fashion and Innovative Bedding, Bath, Window Coverings and Accessories with recognized/national brands sold to retailers such as Target, Walmart, Costco, Home Goods, and many more. Global organization with teams based in China, India, Pakistan and the Philippines. The company is looking for a Production/Product Development Manager (Bed/Bath) – note, this is a hybrid role with work from home 3 days/week and work in their office (just west of White Plains, NY) 2 days/week. Primary Role: Manage all aspects associated with the development of product, from ideation and design through to costing, execution, and delivery Monitor production for all open orders to ensure all aspects of development & production are properly executed to produce finished products, in adherence with the targeted delivery schedule and quality daily Responsibilities: Production: Manage the Production Process once handed over from Sales / Development Manage and Own Production TNA’s, ensuring on time deliveries for the factories Onboard new vendors & work closely with compliance to set up new factories Work with Design team, and as needed buyers, for Bulk, Pre-Production, TOP sample tracking and approval along with records of all approved items Follow up with all direct vendors on Testing sample submissions - Pre-Production (internal testing requirements or by using customers protocols) as well as Top of Production (as needed) Manage production planning executed by support team, including SKU Set up, product information set up, maintain HTS codes in customer systems, approve product descriptions, maintain Product Structure and pricing, packaging and labeling information and set up, vendor set ups, pre-production planning, purchase order execution and X Country delivery dates Oversee POs management into production tracking charts, customer price-ticket orders, customer service upload forms, check POs report and release POs to suppliers PO management – Ensure all suppliers are accepting new orders in a timely manner, confirm any PO changes regarding ship dates, quantity shifts/cancellations & chase orders Work in customer systems to submit item set ups and initiate PO’s Collaborate with engineering and overseas team on carton info and label, cartons marking, and packing instructions Manage Tech-pack creation and maintenance support Track and check shipments status and ensure critical booking is completed on time Confirm vessel bookings & handover dates with the suppliers for all orders Negotiate ship dates and MOQ’s for production with suppliers overseas Maintain internal master list of products in production by account and category Costing - ensure that margin requirements of the company and retail customers are met, by using an accurate and complete Gross Margin Matrix (GMM) Set up and maintain databases for all products sold to customers Collaborate with Design & Sales on new products requirements per customer, per season Prepare pricing for products, ensuring that margin requirements internally and for customers are met, by using an accurate and complete Gross Margin Matrix (GMM) Edit costing into Internal Price Lists and maintain accurate records in Price List Put together products presentation files along with internal costing information Maintain master list of products in development by account and category Follow up on pending samples from suppliers while managing timelines throughout the development process Maintain all visual records of sourced, developed and approved proto samples Develop & Comp packaging options costs across multiple sources 2-3 years of experience in the Home Furnishing industry, especially Bedding / Bath, is a plus Experience working with Production Management systems (like ASI, Blue Cherry, PLM, BeProduct) is preferred Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word & PowerPoint Communicate consistently with the teams on all aspects of the business, to resolve and to improve as needed Well-organized professional with strong ability to multitask Meet customer demands with very short lead times Tremendous attention to detail + great follow up.
