Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee and manage the end-to-end production process for fashion accessories. The ideal candidate will have experience in fashion manufacturing, strong vendor management skills, and a keen eye for quality and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & SchedulingDevelop and maintain production schedules to meet seasonal launch dates and order deadlines.Coordinate with design, sourcing, and merchandising teams to align production with seasonal collections
Cost ManagementNegotiate costing with vendor partnersLook for ways to optimize cost without compromising quality or timelines.Create internal costing sheets for review with sales teamPrepare formal quotations for customers
Production Tracking & ReportingMonitor the progress of production orders and provide regular updates to key stakeholders.Maintain and track production orders Identify and resolve production delays or issues proactively
Vendor & Supplier ManagementManage and evaluate relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and factories (domestic and international).Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and production terms.
Oversee product testing and Compliance requirementsEnsure that all products meet customers quality and compliance standards.Monitor testing process for items on order
Qualifications:
Degree in related field or relevant work experienceExperience working with the Disney account is a plusMinimum of 3 years Production experienceSolid understanding of the fashion production cycle and timelinesExperience working with overseas factories and navigating import/export logisticsProficient in Excel and production management software (e.g., PLM systems).Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a sense of urgencyExperience with ERP platformsKnowledge of sustainability practices / certifications a major plusStrong written and verbal communicationHYBRID work environment in Petaluma CaliforniaSalary commensurate with experience
