Our company designs and manufactures hair accessories, gifts, and jewelry for major department stores and retailers and would like a well-rounded designer to support presentations through idea development, sample-making, product development with overseas suppliers, trend shopping, etc Job Responsibilities Include Communicate and follow up with co-workers from inception to completion of projects in a timely manner Support merchandisers, product developers, and other designers in a collaborative environment for account presentations, Communication with overseas factories Update the showroom with new product for every season/market Design specific presentations for each customer according to that customer’s specifications Travel with sales person to various accounts to present designs Design by hand styles that cannot be procured through our factory base. Put together trend direction/groups/ideas to present to Head Merchandiser for showroom for each season Negotiating costing with factories for developed product presentations to make sure they work for customer Job Qualifications Ideal candidate should have solid skills and experience in the above roles, have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multiple teams. Must be a team player Candidate should be proactive in work approach, willing to learn how design intersects in various front-end development processes, and have good communication. Organizational skills with an eye for detail are a must. Skills Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop - extremely proficient required Excellent hands-on skills to create samples and mock-ups Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
