PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Perry Ellis International, a fashion and lifestyle company, distributor, and licensor of a broad line of high-quality men’s and women’s apparel and accessory. We are looking for a Product Coordinator to be a liaison between design, tech design, merchandising and overseas partners in our Portland office which focuses on the Nike Swim brand. Concise & direct email communication with overseas LO/vendors Ensure all appropriate development documentation is maintained including fabric detail sheets, test reports and pricing info Maintain in-house color standard library and send out standards as needed by overseas LO/vendors Send out lab dip requests and print artwork for development Review lab dip, trim and print submits with design team and advise comments/approvals in PLM and to LO/vendors Maintain PLM with job requests and up to date comments Work with QC and TD team to ensure new trims and fabrics are sourced to the necessary standards Attend tech sheet hand offs with design and tech design and ensure correct fabrics and trims are being identified Participate in weekly meetings with design, merch & tech design to discuss development progress Write fabric and salesman sample POs Assist with receiving salesman samples and allocation to global sales team Review and comment on pre-production samples Assist in maintaining the fabric and trim library Order fabrics & trims as needed for sample sew team Assist with special projects assigned to the Product Development team Strong written and verbal skills Experience with communication to overseas vendors Must be highly organized with strong aptitude for spreadsheet building Superior color/hue discrimination Knowledge of apparel production calendars and timelines Experience with Product Lifecycle Management Software (PLM) Ability to work independently and set deadlines Ability to multitask and work in a fast pace environment with multiple deadlines Ability to work as part of a team Knowledge of Adobe design programs ideal but not a requirement Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed for trade shows and visiting vendors/suppliers
