This role is pivotal in building forward-thinking Men’s and Women’s apparel collections. You will support seasonal product needs, in collaboration with a cross-functional teams including Production, Design, Technical Design, and our Fabric R&D team. Strong communication, collaboration, problem solving and follow up skills Open thinker that likes to think outside of the box Excels in a fast paced, ever-changing environment with the ability to handle multiple projects/responsibilities Self-motivated, independent worker who can challenge others, makes decisions, and perfect processes Effective time management and ability to stay organized Keen attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Work with overseas vendors, reviewing and approving product development submissions with Design team including proto-samples, lab dips, strike-offs, sales samples, and ensuring quality and integrity of the brand are maintained to a standard Support the Pre Production Manager in partnership between Design, Technical Design, Merchandising, and Production to ensure that the product being developed meets aesthetic requirements within the targeted cost parameters Assist in the tracking, receiving, and sending of design & development-related packages Arrange fabric testing and acquire FDS’s to ensure correct care instructions and assess risk Communicate with vendors daily on fabric costing, MOQ, and development needs Participate in product review meetings, including edits, pre-costing and post-season reviews Own trim development and bulk ordering Own custom apparel development and WIP Maintain fabric, print, and trim library for future reference 2 Year degree or equivalent work experience 2 years experience in Apparel Product Development / Pre-Production Extensive knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and GoogleDocs required Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop a plus Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, highly detail-oriented, meticulous, and creative Understanding of apparel development process and knowledge of fabrication, color science, garment constructions, and trims/finishes.
