PROCESS ENGINEER

The Process Engineer is responsible for process control and quality control. The Process Engineer will work with the Quality Process Manager and Technical Engineer to complete process and product development and process control activities. Maintains products on target through the application of sound SPC techniques Develops and uses process control skills Gathers information needed to support claim negotiation Responds to critical situations within the plant or at a customer Notifies plant staff of quality issues, failure to meet original expectations, and quality of incoming raw materials Troubleshoots process and product issues Aid the ISO Coordinator in managing the Quality System, as needed Ability to analyze data and make independent and timely decisions from the information provided and to seek opportunities for the reduction of variability Responsible for the preparation, control & issuing of process OPI’s for Spinning, Drawing, and Rewinding Responsible for the preparation, control & issuing of Certificates of Analysis and Packing Standards Education: A four-year college degree is preferred (Chemistry or Chemical Engineer preferred) and/or equivalent experience in any of the following areas: Textile Production, Development, Dyes, and Chemicals, POY production, man-made fiber production, N66 or N6, and managerial areas Experience: Must have experience in textile production and knowledge of QA/QC procedures. Shall display the ability to learn new areas, above average written, verbal, and computer skills. Candidate should demonstrate customer relations and conflict resolution skills at an above average level.
