PROCESS CONTROL ENGINEER

We are working with a large, global leader and manufacturer of extruded staple fibers, woven and non-woven fabrics (including geotextiles), and other textile relate products utilized in a wide variety of industries. This is a stable company with extremely low turnover and excellent benefits! With sales for this division at $600M and total company revenue exceeding $1B, this growing company is looking for a Process Control Engineer in one of their facilities NE of Atlanta Georgia to assist the Plant Manager and Manufacturing in developing process methods or controls to improve safety, quality, production, maintenance, and reliability. Duties include: Use statistical methods to interpret manufacturing data Directs and develops recipe, and responsible for product development of non-wovens May assume Plant Manager duties in their absence if needed Generate and execute cost improvements in the facility Develop and maintain vendor process relationships Responsible for reduction and control of process variation Responsible for daily monitoring of all recipes in production and maintaining the recipe system Teach principles of process control, statistical analysis, recipe important values and set points to non-woven associates Daily monitoring of non-woven production meeting daily KPI’s, production, efficiency, yield, and waste Manage ISO as related to manufacturing Investigate manufacturing, ISO Audit, and Process Control Audit non-conformances Share in-plant performance Utilize a data driven approach to identify potential opportunities within the facility Use root cause analysis to determine any process or quality related issues in the manufacturing facility Work in conjunction with Quality Control to respond to any customer complaints or failures in the field of non-wovens for resolution May involve customer site visit Participate in plant safety activities and accountability Actively promotes safety culture in facility Willing to take lead role in offsite meeting for development of continuous improvement generation Qualifications: College Degree or equivalent experience Extensive knowledge of needle punch nonwovens, statistics, maintenance, SPC, quality systems, data analysis, software skills, fluent in root cause analysis, continuous improvement, leadership and statistical data driven approach Extensive knowledge of needle punch nonwovens, statistics, maintenance, SPC, quality systems, data analysis, software skills, fluent in root cause analysis, continuous improvement, leadership and statistical data driven approach 10+ years of manufacturing/engineering management experience is ideal All Candidates must be able to provide work related references.
