About Preloved
Preloved is a Finnish-inspired resale marketplace where sellers rent weekly booths to showcase their curated secondhand items. Think boutique thrift — clean, rotating, and community-driven. We handle the foot traffic, marketing, and in-store experience so sellers can focus on bringing great inventory. With locations across multiple states and growing fast, we’re looking for a Pro Lead who can own the daily operations of a store and keep it running at the standard our sellers and shoppers expect.
The Role
This is not a cashier job with a fancier title. The Pro Lead is the person who owns the floor. You’re responsible for making sure the store looks right, runs right, and feels right — every single day. You’ll lead the Preloved Pro team through coaching, training and 1-on-1’s to help ensure each shift is carried out correctly and fully, ensure booths are polished and presentation-ready, manage the daily rhythm of operations, and be the first person to spot and fix anything that doesn’t meet our standards.
Your Area Lead is focused on driving booth utilization, building seller pipelines, planning events, and growing revenue. Your job is to make sure the foundation underneath all of that is solid. When the store is clean, the booths look great, the team is engaged, and sellers are happy, that’s because of you.
Think of it this way: the Manager builds the strategy. You execute the standard.
What You’ll Own
Store Presentation & Booth Standards
Ensure every booth is polished daily: items hung properly, displays organized, signage correct, and booths visually inviting
Walk the floor every time you’re in store to catch and correct presentation issues before they become habits
Coach Preloved Pros in real time on what a polished booth looks like and hold them to that standard
Maintain store cleanliness to boutique standards — fitting rooms, kids corner, checkout, walkways, everything
Daily Operations
Execute and enforce opening and closing checklists every day
Run the register, welcome shoppers and sellers, polish booths, maintain a clean store, support the Preloved Pros
Ensure daily discounts are applied correctly according to the discount schedule
Maintain adequate store supplies — tagging kits, cleaning supplies, packaging materials
Ensure Friday night takedown is completed fully, getting the store ready for Saturday morning setup
Manage the Saturday morning seller setup: check-in, booth assignments, tagging support, and making sure all new booths are presentation-ready before doors open
Scheduling & Pro Lead Leadership
Build and maintain weekly staff schedules and ensure all shifts are covered
Manage shift swaps and last-minute call-outs so the floor is never short-staffed
Run each shift with clear priorities — your team should always know what needs to happen, who’s doing it, and by when
Reinforce the standard ask at checkout: “Would you like to book a booth today? I can help show you how!”
Financial Operations
Charge applicable take down fees before initiating payouts
Assemble and submit payroll reports accurately and on time
Social Media & Communication
Ensure 100 Preloved Picks are posted daily (directly or through your team)
Respond to all social media DMs within 1 hour during store hours
Respond to all store emails within 24 hours
Respond to all Google reviews within 48 hours
Team Coaching
Provide real-time coaching and feedback to Preloved Pros
Address performance issues directly on the floor when they happen
Help train new hires on Preloved systems, standards, and culture
Escalate persistent performance or personnel concerns to the Area Lead with specific examples
Who You Are
You’ve led shifts, managed teams, or supervised daily operations before. You know what it takes to keep a store running smoothly without someone hovering over you.
You have high standards for how a store should look and feel. An off-brand hanger, a messy dressing room, a cluttered walkway — these things bother you, and you fix them without being asked.
You’re a hands-on leader. You don’t just assign tasks — you work alongside your team and show them what the standard looks like.
You’re organized. Schedules, checklists, payouts, supply orders — you keep the operational details from falling through the cracks.
You communicate clearly and directly. When something isn’t right, you say so — respectfully, but without hesitation.
You care about people. You want the team to succeed, the sellers to feel supported, and the shoppers to have a great experience.
You’re reliable. You show up, you follow through, and your team trusts you because of it.
The Scorecard — How We Measure Success
