Position Overview: Responsibilities Primary function as a liaison between Design and Production for product execution Production Approvals Make sure all trim, fabric etc. matches what is needed by production Approve washing instructions, labels etc. per requirements Ensure quality is up to standard and make judgement calls when not in compliance Sit in on all Private Label meetings with Production using independent judgement to trouble shoot production issues Work with patternmakers and provide guidance to resolve any issues with garment Follow-up to ensure all changes have been updated per request Work with Designers to get all information so that the garment can be yielded Costing Packs – gather all information to cost fabric and prepare for costing Order trims and fabric, negotiating prices with vendors when necessary Cross trained in all design duties and fills in when someone is out Order supplies Run design errands Submit expense reports Qualifications/Experience Bachelor’s degree in Fashion/Production related field 3-5 years of experience Experience with the apparel design process from concept through to production Proficient in Excel and strong understanding of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Please include work samples or portfolio with resume.
