The Role
We are looking for an experienced freelance photographer to support ongoing e-commerce shoots, covering both on-model and product photography.
This is a production-focused role centered on execution—capturing clean, consistent, and accurate imagery that aligns with EMURJ’s visual standards. Shoots are scheduled on an as-needed basis, depending on product arrivals and seasonal volume.
What You'll Be Doing
On-Model
Photograph ready-to-wear, shoes, and accessories in a studio settingDirect model posing to align with established guidelinesMaintain consistency in lighting, framing, and color across looksAccurately capture color, texture, and garment construction
Product (Off-Model)
Capture product imagery, including flats and detail shotsAccurately represent color, texture, and constructionFollow established framing, lighting, and color standards
General
Work efficiently across high-volume shoot daysDeliver organized, properly named image files according to guidelinesCollaborate with stylists and team members on setShoot at EMURJ’s downtown San Diego studio (equipment provided)
Bonus Points
Basic familiarity with Blackmagic Pocket Cinema cameras for locked-off video capture

Availability & Workload
Two primary seasons per year (approx. 5 months each)Per season: ~12 on-model shoot days and ~5 product shoot days, with shoot volume expected to increase each seasonShoots scheduled approximately one week in advanceShoot days may be full or half daysFull days are typically up to 10 hours, including a lunch break
