Skilled Pattern Maker for Women's Clothing Line I am looking to hire on a contract basis a skilled pattern maker with the following skills: \\- strong construction knowledge and a great sense of design and fit \\- strong knowledge of garment construction and draping \\- ability to create pattern to production \\- CAD system for computer pattern, grading and marking \\- strong knowledge and experience cutting silk on the bias \\- previous experience creating patterns for dresses, skirts, pants, coats, tops \\- great organizational skills, works well under pressure and ability to prioritize workload \\- great technical skills with an ability to use drafting tools (calipers, squares, straight and curved rules) \\- detail oriented; understanding of apparel manufacturing process; good communication skills Must have at least 5 years experience as a Pattern Maker Ideally have a degree from FIDM, Parsons, FIT or other accredited fashion school This person will work closely with the lead designer of an emerging high end women's ready to wear and made to order brand.
