In this role, candidates are required to study sketches and design models, garment specs, and design the final pattern for samples and mass production. To ensure success as a patternmaker, employees are required to have an extensive experience with swimwear pattern design. Create Tech Pack and sketches using Adobe Illustrator Creating patterns using Gerber Version 11 Interact with Sample Sewers locally and overseas to develop the correct garment construction. Sending the initial pattern to Sample Room for sewers to follow instructions on pattern cards and Tech Packs Work with Design, Product Development, Pattern Makers, sewers, and production teams Attend fitting sessions to gather information when needed to update Pattern and Spec. Convert Gerber files to overseas readable formats for production Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Degree in Pattern Making A minimum of 5 years previous hands-on experience as a swimwear Patternmaker Pattern-making software certifications required.
