As a Big Lots Assistant Manager you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our customers and supporting the Store Manager with the overall operation of the store to achieve company deliverables. Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist with the hiring, training and development of store team members as delegated by the Store Manager • Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager • Able to perform all opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager • Assist the Store Manager in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash. • Maintain all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards to include recovery. • Assist Store Manager in the management of freight flow. • Assist the Store Manager in planning and implementing all directives in the Store Operations Weekly Bulletin.
