Optician/Eyewear Sylist

This person may also be asked to support other areas of the practice, primarily the welcome desk; however, their main focus will be in the optical Detailed responsibilities include: Promoting eyewear sales in a classy and sophisticated manner Educating/advising patients on frame/lens options Staying current with fashion and eyewear trends Taking measurements Placing and checking in orders Alerting patients their glasses are ready Adjusting glasses Dispensing eyewear Helping with contact lens orders Answering the phones Scheduling appointments Obtaining insurance authorizations Reviewing insurance benefits with patients Other responsibilities as needed Preferred Qualities: Previous eye care experience is required Previous work in an optical environment is strongly preferred Selfless team player who is assertive, goal- oriented, positive and self- motivated Desire to work in a dynamic, fun, and fast-paced environment Strong ability to multi-task Comfort in a fast-paced environment High level of integrity Excellent communication skills Sense of fashion Sense of humor Flexibility to work evening and/or weekend hours What we offer: Full-time position Competitive compensation consistent with experience and skills, including opportunity for bonus pay/incentives Casual dress code – While we don’t have a dress code, we will require that this person dress in a classy and fashionable manner Healthcare and vision benefits Paid time off (vacation and holiday) All necessary training If you’re interested in this exciting opportunity, please submit your resume with cover letter.
