Clothes Mentor Rochester is looking for dependable, personable Sales Associates and Buyers who take pride in doing a job well. We’re a locally owned women’s resale store where great style, great value, and thoughtful customer service come together.

Whether your strength is helping someone find the perfect outfit or spotting quality pieces for our racks, we’d love to meet you.

What you’ll do

Sales Associates make shopping welcoming and enjoyable:

Greet customers and start friendly, natural conversations.Help shoppers find sizes, put together outfits, and discover pieces that fit their style and budget.Answer questions and explain our selling process and store policies.Handle purchases and payments accurately.Keep racks, fitting rooms, and displays organized and inviting.Buyers help shape our selection and guide customers through selling:

Evaluate clothing, shoes, handbags, and accessories for style, condition, brand, and customer demand.Make consistent purchasing decisions using our buying guidelines, pricing system, and inventory needs.Present offers clearly and respectfully, including explaining why we may pass on certain items.Stay organized and balance careful attention with efficient service.Process and prepare purchased items for the sales floor.Both roles help customers, support teammates, and pitch in with tagging, restocking, cleaning, and everyday store tasks.

You’ll fit in well here if you:

Follow through on commitments and arrive ready to work.Listen carefully and treat people with patience and respect.Notice what needs to be done and take initiative.Stay calm and courteous when the store gets busy or a customer has a concern.Use good judgment, pay attention to details, and welcome feedback.Enjoy women’s fashion and are willing to learn about brands, styles, and resale.Experience in retail, resale, hospitality, or another customer-facing role is helpful. We also welcome applicants whose experience has taught them how to listen, solve problems, and care for others.

Position details
