As a Merchandising Assistant at Ross Stores, you will play a vital role in supporting our high-volume buying offices. You’ll be the backbone of the procurement process, ensuring that the "treasure hunt" experience our customers love is fueled by a seamless flow of inventory. Working within our fast-paced corporate environment, you will collaborate with buyers and vendors to manage the lifecycle of our products from initial order to the retail floor. This is an entry-level gateway into the world of off-price retail fashion and procurement, where your attention to detail directly impacts our multi-billion dollar success.

Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables) and Outlook.Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with external vendors and internal executives.A degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent retail experience is valued.Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment where priorities can shift rapidly.Keen eye for detail to ensure purchase orders and inventory tracking are 100% accurate.A proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems independently.Benefits:

Manage the end-to-end purchase order process, including entry, tracking, and troubleshooting shipping delays.Act as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding sample shipments and invoicing discrepancies.Organize and maintain the sample room, ensuring all products are labeled and prepared for buyer review sessions.Analyze weekly sales reports to help the buying team identify top-performing trends and inventory gaps.Collaborate with the Distribution Center teams to resolve any issues regarding incoming merchandise shipments.Prepare and format data for high-level business presentations and strategy meetings.
