Merchandiser/Product Developer

Responsibilities include: Manage and maintain fabric and garment developments for existing accounts and new pipelines Create and curate fabric and garment collections with our international factory and mill teams to enhance the presentations for the US Market Establish trends, and latest innovations in fabrics, yarns, technologies to showcase to clients Follow up emails daily with mills and factories to ensure you are getting your projects on a timely basis Provide recommendations for new fabrics and garment styling based on customer specific needs, sales forecasts, and pricing targets Present a curated collection of fabrics and garments to Customers within (Product Development team, Design team, Sourcing/Production team) Work closely with cross functional teams to develop and execute market strategies for each season Coordinate with design teams to get a reading on current sales trends and customer needs from all our client brands Analyze each account and identify future business opportunities to help increase sales Must Have Skills: Must have experience with product development and merchandising skills within woven tops, knits and sweaters for menswear brands, it is an added plus to have additional womens experience Must have experience working with multiple channels of distribution including major department stores, DTC brands, and off price. Must have thorough understanding of fabrics, yarns and construction of garments Must have excellent taste level and eye to merchandise a collection Added bonus to have sales experience in order to sell in your merchandised fabric and garment collections to the perspective brands Detailed oriented and keen eye for fashion trends per the brand DNA Must have strong problem solving skills and ability to take ownership Strong organizational skills Flexible personality to work with many different brands and their specific needs Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, Outlook and MS Office, Word, Power Point and Excel International travel is required Minimum 5 years experience
