Job Title: Fashion Apparel Merchandiser
Job Summary:
Responsible for planning, developing, and managing exclusive division product lines to maximize sales, profitability, and market demand. Analyzes fashion trends, sales data, and customer insights to optimize product selection, pricing, and inventory. Collaborates with design, production, and buying teams to ensure timely delivery of commercially successful apparel collections.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and manage seasonal product lines based on market trends, customer insights, and sales analysis.
Direct design and product development teams to ensure merchandise aligns with assortment strategy.
Support the preparation and presentation of seasonal product lines for market appointments, ensuring cohesive and compelling product stories.
Update and maintain line sheets, sales tools, and buyer order worksheets to reflect current assortments and product details.
Liaise with retail partners to facilitate strong sell-through performance and manage development of product offering effectively.
Monitor inventory levels and optimize product allocation to maximize sales and minimize stock shortages or excess.
Track product performance and recommend adjustments to improve profitability.
Analyze sales data, customer demand, and competitor activity to inform merchandising decisions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
5-7 years of experience in fashion merchandising, retail buying, or apparel product management.
Strong analytical and forecasting skills with the ability to interpret sales and market data.
Knowledge of fashion trends, apparel production, and retail merchandising strategies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and merchandising/planning tools.
Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
