Position Overview: The Manager, Sourcing owns and drives the process from seasonal development of product to manufacturing in alignment with category/categories’ sourcing strategies. Performance requirements Manages (Girls category) sourcing strategy Owns supplier allocation/order placement that aligns to the annual plan Monitors supplier performance and ensures visibility for issues across functions Identifies the need for sources, and on boards and ramps up new suppliers Manages Projections to ensure appropriate capacity levels Ensures on time quality product that meets/exceeds Proactively assess risk and creates action plan to mitigate Manages and communicates seasonal category time and actions including speed that aligns to target lead times; identifying and managing exceptions (LLT) Facilitates timely resolution of production issues; providing creative options and solutions that meet customer/brand needs Drives Product Development Continually assesses supplier capabilities vs business needs and creates an action plan for “gap” Allocates styles to vendors/factories; assesses capabilities for cost, aesthetic and quality Creates and submits sample requests; monitors supplier on time performance Ensures suppliers are clear on assortment changes and shifts
