Job Purpose The Merchandise Planning Analyst assists the Merchandise Planners in the management of styles and inventory across all categories of product and business channels, builds and distributes foundational reporting, and performs ad hoc analysis and tasks to support the changing needs of the business. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for creating inventory purchase orders and managing communication to Vendors, as well as any updates needed due to vendor feedback for Initial Buys, Sample Requests, and Stock Replenishment based on information provided by Merchandise Planners Manage purchase order tracking process and provide reporting and updates to teams Work with Planners, Merchandising, Site, Marketing and Supply Chain teams to execute product pricing and status changes and send out communication to the company Monitor size selling where appropriate and partner with Planning, Supply Chain and Finance teams to take necessary action to optimize inventory and site experience Assist with coordinating and communicating disposal of inventory when necessary Assist Planners with preparation of documents for weekly reporting package as well as critical milestone meetings including:  Open to Buy, Initial Buy, and Hindsight meetings Distribute weekly reporting to support management of Inventory Reserve quantities, Instock levels, and Hold inventory Responsible for adjusting Inventory Reserve quantities at the style level based on a desired months of supply and data supplied by Planners Responsible for running weekly purchase order diagnostic tool to ensure Purchasing system balances Assist with maintaining the Planning Cycle Map and Standard Operating Procedures Attend and compile takeaway actions from the Open to Buy, Hindsight, Initial Buy, and other Planning meetings Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as assigned Support the team in the creation and management of new reporting and planning tools The above cited duties and responsibilities describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to the job.
