As the Merchandise Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our stores by overseeing the selection, purchasing, and display of our merchandise. Stay up-to-date on current fashion trends and market demands to ensure the merchandise selection is on-trend and appealing to customers.
Collaborate with the buying team to develop and execute merchandise strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
Monitor inventory levels and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
Work closely with store managers to ensure all merchandise is properly displayed and visually appealing to customers.
Train and develop store staff on merchandising techniques and best practices.
Conduct regular store visits to assess merchandise displays and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
Analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions to maximize profits and minimize losses.
Develop and implement promotional strategies to drive sales and increase foot traffic to the stores.
Collaborate with marketing and advertising teams to create effective campaigns and promotions that align with merchandise strategies.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor strategies, and consumer behavior to inform merchandise decisions.
Lead and motivate a team of merchandising associates to achieve sales and profitability goals.
Communicate effectively with upper management and provide reports and updates on merchandise performance.
Ensure all merchandise is priced accurately and in accordance with company standards.
Uphold company policies and procedures related to merchandise management and ensure all employees are following them.
Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and implement changes as needed.
Adhere to budget constraints and make strategic decisions to maximize profitability while staying within budget.
Ensure all merchandise meets quality and safety standards.
Represent Forman Mills in a professional and positive manner at all times.
