POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Merchandise Analyst supports the Planning department and is responsible for, or will assist in, allocation and management of inventory, store level and eComm assortment strategies, promotions, markdowns, ad-hoc reporting, and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Manage all aspects of replenishment business for both DTC stores, eComm and Outlet by developing and executing allocation strategies to maximize sell thru and profitability.
* Analyze sku and program productivity to ensure store turn and weeks of supply goals are met.
* Manage and maintain Key Items ladders for 365 Heritage replenishment programs while considering model stocks and sizing needs.
* Run weekly sales recaps and reports.
* Create and maintain business overview decks.
* Collaborate with CFT members on ad hoc projects and deliverables.

BUSINESS ANALYTICS

* Analyze sales trends to ensure stores are in stock on core items, new programs, and seasonal merchandise.
* Manage inventory levels by store and sku to support inventory plans, presentation levels and capacity.
* Management of slow-moving skus, with recommendations of permanent price action or promotions.
* Review and advise on product consolidation and transfer between stores and channels.
* Analyze warehouse stock position, flag and decide upon action as needed.
* New store opening: Support and advise on product mix, availability of product based on inventory and sizing needs.
* Hindsight Analysis: Deep Dive and recap end of season final selling at the department and class level.
* Size Analysis: On a seasonal basis, analyze size selling at the store and class level to impact allocation strategy and future buys.

OPERATIONAL AND AD HOC MERCHANDISING PROJECTS 

* Operations: Work with Logistics, VM, Retail Operations, and production for new collection launches and new store openings.
* Work with logistics and production to track and understand timing of all product deliveries and recap status of goods.
* Work closely with eCommerce & Marketing teams on product launches; advise delivery status of product to ensure marketing and new delivery launches are aligned with availability
* Maintain seasonal receipt reconciliations
* Seasonal Markdown reports and recaps: Partner with CFT to identify markdowns and liquidation strategies on slow turning inventory.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

* Minimum 3 years professional experience; luxury and/or retail industry preferred
* Advanced expertise in Excel (Macro a plus) and PowerPoint (heavy excel workload)
* Strong communication, leadership, collaboration, organization and follow-up skills
* Strong attention to detail, quickly able to identify discrepancies in excel/data
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to deliver tight deadlines while being diligent
* Ability to think creatively when analyzing the business
* Excellent communication skills and dedication to results
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with self-motivated mentality
* Ability to operate all equipment and retail programs necessary to perform the job
* Flexibility to react quickly to changing demands of business
* Technical ability to lead merchandising software
* Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills

Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 per year.
