Menswear Designer

A successful lifestyle apparel, accessories and home company is in search of a full time Menswear Designer for their apparel division. This role is on-site 4 days/1 day remote, based in Agoura Hills. The ideal candidate will have a strong knitwear foundation. Additional duties include: - Collaborate with Creative Director to identify emerging trends, contribute to inspiration research, select seasonal themes and develop collection ranges- Conduct market research and seek design inspiration to identify new trends, fabrics, trims and techniques and prepare mood boards for seasonal collections and special projects.- Create flat digital sketches and select fabrics, wash treatments and trims to establish distinctive brand product within price points.- Set-up and maintain visual line plans- Establish key style, color & textile concepts for upcoming seasons- Update and maintain seasonal color palette- Set-up and update techpacks with sketches, construction details and measurement specs from concept through production- Provide CAD sketches and relevant information to the Product Development Coordinator and manufacturers needed to execute collections including measurements, sewing construction details, garment call-outs and artwork sizes.- Partner with PD on the status of style in development to ensure product execution meets design intent.- Review incoming samples to ensure they are correct - this includes fit, details, color, finishing, wash- Attend fittings to analyze and help communicate issues on samples with PD for vendors and help to update tech packs with any sketch or detail revisions- Assist in the sourcing and approval of fabric samples, lab dips, strike-offs and other development materials- Help pull samples and put together looks for photo shoots- Attend and assist with styling of seasonal photo shoots- Performs additional duties and assignments, as requested
