MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST - Hybrid

The role of this team is to provide support to the Product Development teams and the factories. A Chemistry or science background is preferred. This is a 1 year assignment $30-$40/hour Hybrid in Morris Plains, NJ Job Responsibilities: Creation of new raw materials and raw material updates in the spec management system SAP RD Enter and update documentation for raw materials in SAP RD Support all R&D sites Responsible of the maintenance of the Color, Skin, Fragrance and Body Products Raw Materials integrity and data clean up as directed by manager Work with the other support function teams Regulatory, Toxicology, Analytical, Product Testing, and Microbiology to troubleshoot questions/concerns and ensure Raw Material information for accuracy Liaise with raw material suppliers to get the most up to date and complete documentation required Assist with reports and data extractions when needed Communicates results and observations to manager and other team members, making special notes of unexpected results or observations Job Qualifications: Scientific background and understanding of raw materials and their functions Experience (Co-op, Internship, part or fulltime) working within related fields preferred Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Excel, Word, etc).
